I’ve been in the office equipment industry since 1967. I have worked for several major
equipment companies, SCM, and Royal typewriter co. (now Konica) as western U.S.
troubleshooter, dealer division. I have worked as service manager for several copier dealers
in southern California. In 1985 started and operate, an independent copier company,
known as Total Copy Service. I’ve been factory trained on many models of many manufacturers,
Sharp, SCM, Royal, Mita, Konica, Panasonic, Ricoh, to name a few, and have been the instructor
for some of this equipment, on several occasions. I’ve worked on many models, analog, digital,
some color, of almost all Manufacturers. General service of copiers is almost basic. When codes
or specifics are needed, I use an independent publication to retrieve most needed information.
I also can perform general service for fax and printers.
What I am offering your company is wholesale service,
at your shop, or at your customer locations, to assist when the call load is high,
techs are on vacation, or out with illnesses.
I will represent you and your company,
using your procedures, forms, and invoices.
I come from the era when a handshake was as good as your word,
and business ethics, honesty, and integrity meant everything.
These ideals are, and have been, how I conduct business.
The next few pages details this proposal and the area I work in.
The advantages to wholesale service for your company are is no need to
provide insurance, a set salary, scheduled raises, paid vacation time, nor any
other benefit packages that apply to a full time employee.
The territory in which I now operate business is Orange County, and the South LA County.
I offer wholesale service for you at your shop or in the field @ $45.00 per hour.
I do not charge for mileage, instead I start the clock from my office in Cypress, or my last location,
whichever is nearest to your client. This is approximately equivalent to 25 miles is ½ hour.
There is no time charge from the last call to my office unless the mileage exceed 35miles, then I add
½ hour to my time. I will provide a time sheet on a weekly basis, unless otherwise requested.
To protect your company’s client integrity, and also protect me, I will sign a non-competing letter
detailing the protection against the “theft” of clients, parts and supplies, or other properties of your
company. This has always been a very important agreement between two parties in our industry.
I would expect the same if your company was servicing TOTAL COPY customers. As an
independent agent, an agreement like this is necessary for our customer base protection.
In the “old days”, trust and a handshake was as good as a man’s word.
This is, and always has been my philosophy but, a written agreement doesn’t hurt.
I'm factory trained on many types of copiers. The newer models are listed below.

done some limited networking. I use the Intrevia guides for codes on most copiers.
The newer machines I would need a copy of their code sheets and how to access the service mode.
I am capable of performing minor service and repair on any copier. Complicated problems
may require assistance from one familiar with that model. I would also be available to train
anyone who would like to know equipment I work on. Faxes and printers for minor repairs and service.
